Artwork "Pičus" is an ecumenic interconnection between a self-portrait adaptation of the authors´ emotions and his character traits. Through the lens of the public, it may represent a freely interpretable satire of the current situation within the society. This is a brief characteristics of the statue of "Pičus" which has become very popular among art collectors, art historians, as well as the non-professional public.

Grandstand 6: Greetings from Groningen to Bruce Nauman by Ilona Németh

16th - 18th of January, daily between 18:00 - 23:00

Location: In front of Stadsschouwburg

A monumental installation by Ilona Németh, one of the most significant figures of fine art in central Europe: Two auditoriums facing each other. The artwork has perviously been installed in Košice, Brno and on Pohoda Festival. When shaping it, Ilona Németh was inspired by an abstract sketch of Bruce Neumann. She transformed it into a work in which a stage is missing on the side of the auditorium. The viewer looks at an opposite auditorium. It is up to you whether you will see the art work as an interpretation of narcissism, the viewer as the focus of a show, or something entirely else.
